TESTIMONIALS

"Ms. Rose has been teaching me viola for a year and a half now, and she is truly the best viola teacher I have ever had. Ms. Rose is very focused and present during lessons. Ms. Rose makes an effort to connect with me and get to know me as a person, as well as a musician. During my time with Ms. Rose I have not only become a significantly stronger viola player, but also a stronger musician. What makes Ms. Rose different from my previous viola teachers, is her emphasis on helping students understand their instrument in a comprehensive way. For example, Ms. Rose helped me understand the connection between the baroque bow and Telemann’s approach to writing Concerto in G Major. Consequently, I not only understand the music itself, but also the logic behind the music."

TEACHING STUDIO

Welcome to my private viola and violin studio! I help self-motivated, engaged violists and violinists express themselves through music they love and gain confidence in their playing.

My goal is to tailor lessons to each student's learning style and individual interests. Students have the opportunity to perform in studio recitals and are encouraged to participate in auditions and community ensembles.

Private, in-person or online viola and violin lessons are available for adults and kids age 7+.
